Marc Jacobs Scarf

Coat: Forever 21 // Scarf: Marc Jacobs for Target (Giant Tiger) // Dress: H&M

I shared this scarf on my Instagram a little while back. This Marc Jacobs for Target scarf was at Giant Tiger. My jaw seriously dropped when I saw it and I was looking around for people to tell. I was just so excited lol!!!! They also had some Marc Jacobs for Target clutches. Definitely check it out if you have a Giant Tiger close to you. It was one of my best finds!

Philosophy Review: Purity Made Simple, Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash, Hope in a Jar

I have been using the same skincare regiment for a little while now with Philosophy products. I thought I would share a review of these products with you. I have strange skin lol! It is oily and dry at the same time, I have large pores and I break out quite easily. It has been a constant challenge since I was a teenager to keep my breakouts under control and my skin looking decent. These three philosophy products have done me well but I am still on the search for that miracle product….if it even exists!!

Purity Made Simple ($26 CAD at Sephora):
I use this product morning and night. I really like the feel and it has a nice light pleasant smell. My face definitely feels clean after using it. The product does not seem harsh on my skin so I would say it is suitable for sensitive skin. I really do like this face wash but I haven't noticed much of a difference in the size of my pores. It did however keep breakouts to a minimum. A little bit goes a long way so it is worth the money.

Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash ($27 CAD at Sephora):
I only use this product at night. Because I have sensitive skin I found it to be too harsh to use twice a day (but some may be able to). It doesn't have much of a smell at all. My face feels clean and smooth after using this product. It is a little bit gritty (but in a good way). Again I didn't notice much of a difference in the size of my pores and there was no change in the oiliness of my skin. A little bit goes a long way so it is worth the money.

Hope in a Jar ($52 CAD a Sephora):
I usually just used this in the morning but sometimes at night too. It has a very light smell. It is a non-greasy formula and dries really fast. This is a good thing for me because of my oily skin. Although I like this product and it does provide moisture I find it to be a little expensive.

Overall I really like these Philosophy products because they are great for sensitive skin and they don't seem harsh. I think they would work really well on a lot of skin types. If you have complicated skin (like me!), I would still give these products a try. I am happy with them but just not blown away. I will be forever searching for that perfect skincare regiment! If you have any recommendations let me know!

Embellished Sweatshirt

Sweatshirt: Forever 21 // Jeans: Costa Blanca // Boots: Boohoo Canada
Good Morning! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I was hoping for a snow day today but unfortunately it is not lol. The roads are still really bad though. This is an outfit I wore over the Christmas break. The sweatshirt is from Forever 21 and is quite festive with the embellishment. Similar styles are still available online and in stores.

New Year's Eve Outfit

Silver Sweater: H&M // White Shirt: Suzy Shier // Jeans: Bluenotes // Boots: Boohoo

Here is a closer look of what I wore on New Year's Eve. It was pretty casual but I added a bit of sparkle with the sweater and rhinestone collar.

I went to the store last night to look at a better camera. I recently bought a decent digital camera but there are some mirrorless cameras on sale this week so I might do an exchange. I am hoping I will be able to take better outfit pics.

Isn't this weather crazy!!!! It is super cold and snowing like crazy in Canada. I'm so tried of winter already lol!

Victoria Secret Fashion Show

Who watched the Victoria Secret Runway Show last night? It was amazing! I always love watching the creativity behind each show. The designs and outfits are incredible. One of my favourite segments this year was "Birds of Paradise". The feathers/wings were beautiful. I think Taylor Swift did a really good job performing. I think she fits in well with the angels.

I love watching the behind the scenes footage too. It looks like they have so much fun. I want to be one of them hah!!! The show also gave me some fitness motivation. I'm going to Mexico in February so I gotta get this body in shape.

What were some of your favourite looks from the show last night?

My Giant Tiger Outfit

Turtleneck: Giant Tiger ($8.00) // Pencil Skirt: Giant Tiger ($10.00) // Accessories: Smart Set
Here is the outfit that I wore on TV. Because I was showcasing holiday outfits I thought I should wear something that could be worn to a holiday party too. This skirt is really quite cool. It is almost leather-like and it has a really nice design on the material. Perfect for a holiday skirt. The turtleneck comes in lots of different colours but I liked the all black look because it is chic! The accessories are from Smart Set. As you can see it is really easy to put together a holiday look on a budget. I only spent $18.00 at Giant Tiger on these two pieces and then I used gold jewellery I already had. They have tons of different outfit options too. Lots of different sparkly tops…make sure to check out your local store!
Here is a link to their website (www.gianttiger.com).

Giant Tiger - Outfits (Part 2)

Here are some detailed pictures of the holiday outfits showcased with Giant Tiger and CHCH. All items are from Giant Tiger. They have a wide variety of clothes for the holidays, from XS to 3X. I wish I was able to share a group shot (with Lori from CHCH and Alison from Giant Tiger) but unfortunately the picture didn't take. I will post details of my outfit tomorrow.
Jackie is wearing a beautiful dress with a lace overlay that is very feminine and pretty ($29). It is paired with open-toed sling backs with gold accents ($20) and finished with a great gold clutch ($12). It is a perfect outfit to wear to a fancier party or New Years Eve party.

Kate is wearing a sweater dress with a skinny belt ($15). Paired with oxblood boots to give the outfit a pop of colour ($9) and finished with a scarf that adds a little sparkle for the holidays ($9).

Sue is wearing a ruffle cardigan ($15), paired with a beautiful blue top underneath ($15). The is flattering because it has the ruching to the side. On the bottom she is wearing black dress pants ($15) and chunky black boots with gold accents ($29).

Shirt Tails

Sweater: H&M // Shirt: Forever 21 // Jeans: Bluenotes // Shoes: Hudson Bay //
Purse: Phillip Lim for Target // Necklace: Forever 21
How was everyone's weekend? I had a fun shopping weekend with my mom, aunts, cousin and niece. It was so much fun…we always have a lot of laughs. It was supposed to be to start christmas shopping so I didn't really buy much for myself.

As I mentioned last week, I will be doing another tv fashion segment with Giant Tiger and CHCH. It will feature dressing for the holidays and family sleepwear. I am going to pick outfits tomorrow. They have a lot of really great holiday pieces to choose from. They also have onesies (which are my favourite for sleeping!!!). I'll post some pics but be sure to watch CHCH on Tuesday morning to see the segment live.
