Fashion Week Outfit: Day 5

Jacket: Forever 21 // Shirt: Forever 21 // Skirt: Suzy Shier // Shoes: Giant Tiger // Purse: Phillip Lim for Target

Here is a closer look at my outfit from Day 5 of World MasterCard Fashion Week. I call this look my 'school girl' look haha. I kind of felt like I was back in high school wearing a plaid skirt but plaid is very in this season. I like it. I made the outfit more edgy with the moto jacket. I wish my tights were more opaque so I will have to look for some like that.

Did any of you attend World MasterCard Fashion Week? What were your favourite shows/looks?

Fashion Week: Stephan Caras

Here are some photos from Day 5 of the World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto. We attended the  Stephan Caras show and it was beautiful. The looks were pretty and elegant but some were also quite edgy. Many of the dresses had unique pearl accents on the shoulders, back or wrists. What do you think of my runway photo? haha. I was so excited I was able to get a picture on the runway before the show. I will show you more outfit pics tomorrow.

Fashion Week: Day 4 Outfit

Sweater: H&M // Shirt: H&M // Skirt: Suzy Shier // Shoes: Hudson's Bay // Purse: Phillip Lim for Target

Here are the details of my outfit from World MasterCard Fashion Week Day 4. It was so cold so I definitely had to keep that in mind when deciding on an outfit. I bought these shoes at Hudson's Bay last week during Bay Days. They are super cute and stylish and were on sale for $30. The leopard shoes along with the leather skirt create a sleek edgy look...but still classy.

World MasterCard® Fashion Week was amazing!!! Seriously addicted to fashion shows now. These are some pics from the two shows I attended on Thursday. Soia & Kyo had chic feminine looks in soft colours...perfect for the spring! I love the more muted tones, especially grey so I really enjoyed seeing a lot of these looks. Caitlin Power had some 'powerful' looks for women. Her show seemed to have a tribal influence. It seriously took my breath away when the three models came out in the tribal dresses (see pic). We also got to meet Ontario MPP Jagmeet Singh after the Caitlin Power show. He has great style and was voted one of Toronto's most stylish people. I will show more pics and details of my outfit tomorrow.

P.S. We had a hard time figuring out the settings to use on my camera. Our pictures from the actual shows didn't turn out that well which is why I used some shots by 'George Pimentel'.

Prep for Fashion Week

Source: www.worldmastercardfashionweek.com
Tomorrow is the day!!! I will be attending my first 'real' fashion show in Toronto. I'm so excited but a little nervous. Of course I spent time picking my outfits tonight. I wish it weren't so cold outside though.  The shows I am attending tomorrow are Soia and Kyo, and Caitlin Power.

I thought I would share a post on what I am doing to get ready for Toronto World MasterCard Fashion Week.

Hair
I haven't shared any pics yet but I got my hair done on the weekend. I was debating about getting a bold bang but I went for it and I am happy. It is a nice change.

Beauty/Skin
I have been using Philosophy exfoliator for the past couple days to get my skin nice and smooth. I have also been using Jergens Natural Glow on my legs and arms to give my skin a nice glow (they are ghost white eek!). I also painted my nails a nice burgundy colour...perfect for the fall.

Fashion
I spent time shopping and trying on different outfit combinations. I want to make sure I look stylish and trendy but still warm and comfortable. I am happy with my choices so far. I'll show you pics later.

Have you attended any shows this week?

Hi All! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Here is a quick post of an outfit I wore to work. Do you like my bun? I used a pretty cool hair accessory to make it. I will share it in a post soon.

So this week is Toronto World MasterCard Fashion Week. Is anyone attending? I will be attending shows on Thursday and Friday. I am excited but super nervous because it is my first official fashion week! I'll definitely share pics from the shows as well as my outfits. Comment below and let me know what shows you are attending. Hope to see you there :)

Nuit Blanche

Jacket: Giant Tiger // Plaid Shirt: Forever 21 // Hat: Zara // Bag: Phillip Lim for Target //
Jeans: Bluenotes // Moccasins: Walmart
I totally forgot to post these outfit pics from Nuit Blanche in Toronto last weekend. It is an art festival that continues all night long. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of really unique exhibits to see all over the city. For my outfit, I was going for a comfy casual look. I needed something warm and easy to walk around in all night. This flannel plaid shirt, military jacket and hat worked well to keep me warm and comfy. Did anyone else attend Nuit Blanche? What were your favourite exhibits?

Hey Ho Let's Go!

Blouse: Suzy Shier // Sweatshirt: Forever 21 // Jeans: Bluenotes
This is a casual outfit I wore the other day when we went to visit my cousin. I like the mix of casual and dressy. The sweatshirt is kind of grunge and casual but the sparkle collar provides a nice contrast. I like how it looks. What do you think? Do you ever mix casual with dressy?
