My Giant Tiger Outfit

Turtleneck: Giant Tiger ($8.00) // Pencil Skirt: Giant Tiger ($10.00) // Accessories: Smart Set
Here is the outfit that I wore on TV. Because I was showcasing holiday outfits I thought I should wear something that could be worn to a holiday party too. This skirt is really quite cool. It is almost leather-like and it has a really nice design on the material. Perfect for a holiday skirt. The turtleneck comes in lots of different colours but I liked the all black look because it is chic! The accessories are from Smart Set. As you can see it is really easy to put together a holiday look on a budget. I only spent $18.00 at Giant Tiger on these two pieces and then I used gold jewellery I already had. They have tons of different outfit options too. Lots of different sparkly tops…make sure to check out your local store!

Giant Tiger - Outfits (Part 2)

Here are some detailed pictures of the holiday outfits showcased with Giant Tiger and CHCH. All items are from Giant Tiger. They have a wide variety of clothes for the holidays, from XS to 3X. I wish I was able to share a group shot (with Lori from CHCH and Alison from Giant Tiger) but unfortunately the picture didn't take. I will post details of my outfit tomorrow.
Jackie is wearing a beautiful dress with a lace overlay that is very feminine and pretty ($29). It is paired with open-toed sling backs with gold accents ($20) and finished with a great gold clutch ($12). It is a perfect outfit to wear to a fancier party or New Years Eve party.

Kate is wearing a sweater dress with a skinny belt ($15). Paired with oxblood boots to give the outfit a pop of colour ($9) and finished with a scarf that adds a little sparkle for the holidays ($9).

Sue is wearing a ruffle cardigan ($15), paired with a beautiful blue top underneath ($15). The is flattering because it has the ruching to the side. On the bottom she is wearing black dress pants ($15) and chunky black boots with gold accents ($29).

Shirt Tails

Sweater: H&M // Shirt: Forever 21 // Jeans: Bluenotes // Shoes: Hudson Bay //
Purse: Phillip Lim for Target // Necklace: Forever 21
How was everyone's weekend? I had a fun shopping weekend with my mom, aunts, cousin and niece. It was so much fun…we always have a lot of laughs. It was supposed to be to start christmas shopping so I didn't really buy much for myself.

As I mentioned last week, I will be doing another tv fashion segment with Giant Tiger and CHCH. It will feature dressing for the holidays and family sleepwear. I am going to pick outfits tomorrow. They have a lot of really great holiday pieces to choose from. They also have onesies (which are my favourite for sleeping!!!). I'll post some pics but be sure to watch CHCH on Tuesday morning to see the segment live.

Outfit Details: Giant Tiger

As promised, here are the details from the outfit I wore during the Giant Tiger fashion segment on CHCH television. All items are from Giant Tiger. I feel this is a really great look for back-to-school. The blouse is nice because it is sheer and it will allow you to stay cool on warmer September days. But then you can easily layer a jacket overtop for those cooler mornings. Like I said in my previous post, all items are at really great price points. The blouse was $17 dollars, the jeans were $25 and the shoes were $10.

What are some of your back-to-school must-haves?

Giant Tiger Fashion Segment: Part 2

Did you catch me in the back-to-school fashion segment with Giant Tiger and CHCH? Here is a direct link in case you missed it (http://www.chch.com/back-to-school-with-giant-tiger-2/). Below are some pics from yesterday morning. There are three really great looks for back-to-school. Fashion is all about experimenting, trying new trends and finding your own style. Giant Tiger has some really cool trendy pieces at affordable prices. So if you are interested in trying out a new look or trend, it is a great place to find those cool pieces at excellent price points. Here is a link to the Giant Tiger website if you want to check out some of their clothes or if you want to find your closest location (http://www.gianttiger.com).

Look #1:
This first look is a rocker girl look. Ashley is wearing a cool blouse with black skinny jeans. Skinny-jeans are a must have for back-to-school. The are often made of comfortable material now so they are easy to wear all day and perfect for running from class to class. These skinny jeans are a great fit on Ashley are a from the Candy Couture Rocker Line at $25. They also come with a cool studded belt which can easily be used with different outfits. These are paired with black ankle boots from Blue Crush at $29. These are great boots and really on trend for this season. I especially love the skull print on the blouse. It definitely makes the outfit more edgy.

Look #2:
This outfit is perfect for the first day of school or for a presentation at school. Melissa is wearing a lace skirt which is dressy and special but the denim button-up dresses it down and makes it casual. This denim shirt is a great layering piece that you can easily mix and match with different outfits. You can button it up and wear it as a shirt or you can leave it open and wear it more like a jacket (like Melissa is here). Layering is very important to think about when back to school shopping because you want pieces that you can transition from summer, to fall and to winter. Lastly, the outfit is paired with cute ballet flats. Comfortable flats are a must for running from class to class. All of the pieces in this outfit are at really great print points. You can get the entire look for $39.

Outfit #3:
This last look is a great everyday look and it is especially good for those days when you just want to be comfortable. Tiffany is wearing a graphic tee with coloured jeans. Graphic tees are very on trend and you can find lots of different print options at Giant Tiger. She is also wearing an infinity scarf, which is a great accessory for fall. You can wrap it different ways to give different looks.  For cooler morning you can wear a jean jacket layered overtop. Tiffany is wearing the army green skinny jeans which have some cool studded details along the pockets. The boots are very affordable at $25 or 2 for $40. There are lots of colours and styles to choose from.

This is a picture of Alison from Giant Tiger and Elise from CHCH. Aren't their outfits so chic too? I love the tiger print on Alison's top and the coral lace blouse looks great on Elise. It was so much fun to do the live fashion segment. I was definitely super nervous the night before but I think it went fairly well. I am looking forward to potentially having more opportunities like this. I will be back with details on my Giant Tiger outfit tomorrow.
